Warehouse-native iGaming software: the questions to ask before buying

An iGaming software buyer’s guide to data copies, freshness, metric definitions, access controls and the evidence to request in a pilot.

For CTOs, owners and Heads of Data

“Warehouse-native” is a starting point for a technical conversation. It is not enough information to establish where your data goes, how current an answer is or how an action reaches another system.

Ask for the actual data path

Have the vendor draw the path from your source systems to the warehouse, the application and any downstream destination. Identify persistent copies, query-result caches, exports and logs. Ask what is retained, for how long and under whose control.

Zero-copy sharing exists in specific technologies. Google’s BigQuery sharing documentation, for example, describes querying shared data without replicating it. That does not establish that every connected application is zero-copy throughout its own processing. Evaluate the actual design you will deploy.
