Can you trust an AI answer about revenue? Five checks before you act.

Evaluate conversational iGaming analytics with five checks covering metric definitions, scope, arithmetic, evidence and uncertainty.

For CFOs, CTOs and Heads of Data

An answer can sound precise while answering a different question from the one you intended. When the subject is revenue, a polished explanation is only the start of the review.

1. Confirm the definition

What does the system mean by NGR, active player or successful deposit? Ask for the business definition and the exclusions. A metric label is not a definition, and a familiar acronym does not guarantee that two teams calculate it in the same way.

A semantic layer is one approach to managing shared definitions. For example, dbt documents centrally defined metrics that downstream tools can query consistently. This is a general architectural pattern, not evidence that every platform implements it or that it eliminates all errors.
