A daily report earns its place when it helps the next meeting start with understanding. A page of totals may be accurate and still leave every important question unanswered.
Establish the basis of comparison
Before interpreting a movement, make the reporting period clear. A partial day should not silently compete with a completed day. A month-to-date value needs an explicit comparator. Teams also need to know the currency, the product scope and when the information was refreshed.
These details sound ordinary because they are. They are also what makes a headline usable. Without them, a confident summary can send a team into an investigation of a timing difference rather than an operational issue.
